Pixel 6A is available in Singapore soon; here’s some great deals and what you need to know!

While Singaporeans aren’t as familiar with Google’s line of phones, the giant search company is expanding their portfolio of devices in the high-and-mid end market. This time, we get to be one of the first few people in the world to get our hands on Google Pixel 6A, their custom Tensor-powered mid-range phone at a rather attractive price tag.

Specs wise, the Pixel 6A inherits the Tensor processor that’s running in the current Pixel 6 and Pro line. It’s comparable to Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100, and Google decided to get its hands dirty by developing this processor themselves.

Inheriting a great processor in a budget option is kinda reminiscent of Apple’s strategy with the iPhone SE- change little to nothing about the form factor but give it the best processor available.

Comes in three, two-tone options: Charcoal, Chalk, and Sage!

To keep to its $750 price tag, some sacrifices were made; for one, it’s screen size is 6.1-inch with a 1080p AMOLED display running at 60Hz. Coupled with a huge 4410mAh battery and 30W fast charger (not included) using a compatible PPS GaN Charger like this one, this may be a marathon of a battery life for light to medium users.

There’s just 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM, which isn’t a lot but hey, the under-display fingerprint sensor is new! There were reports that the current generation of fingerprint sensor on the Pixel 6 lineup was sub-par so this may be a much-needed improvement.

In addition, the 6A will carry the same sensor that’s found on the previous flagship Pixel 4. Admittedly, this is re-using older tech but with Google’s excellent engineering in their software with features like Night Sight, Real Tone, and Magic Eraser, it should be okay. (We’re hoping to get a review unit in, so if anyone @ Google is reading this, do reach out!)
