Wi-Fi is an important staple in our lives when it comes to stable Netflix streaming and Zoom calls, and having more options for us means competitive prices that won’t break your bank.


Meet TP-Link’s Deco HC4, a budget-oriented Mesh Wi-Fi solution for most homes that would like to improve their Wi-Fi coverage without breaking the bank.


Deco HC4 Specifications

  • 2.4GHz: 300Mbps

  • 5GHz: 867Mbps

  • Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports (automatically senses between WAN or LAN)

Coverage wise, TP-Link’s marketing claims that their three-pack of HC4’s can cover homes of up to 5,500 square feet, or about 510 square meters.

Each of the nodes will also connect to each other on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz signal, with the option of Gigabit Ethernet Backhaul if available.


There’s also built-in VLAN with options for SingTel-specific setup for customers who are using their fibre and MIO TV services, so it’ll be compatible with Singtel’s fibre ONT.


Parents that want to filter or limit Internet usage will be glad to know that they can create profiles to monitor websites visited or suspend connectivity when required.
